Next week, Lordstown Motors will unveil a full-scale prototype of its Endurance electric truck for the first time. For the design and prototyping of the EV, the electric vehicle startup has collaborated with California-based Hydra Design Studio, which has also created the realistic renderings of the Endurance truck we saw a couple of weeks ago.
Lordstown Motors said it partnered with Hydra Design Labs to bring the exterior and interior designs to life, and the company’s work will be on display with the first prototype pickup to be shown on June 25.
Lordstown on Tuesday announced it had partnered with Orange County, California-based Hydra Design Labs to handle design and prototyping of the electric Endurance work truck. The company also collaborated with Lordstown on the general design of the interior and exterior, and it will build the full-scale prototype show car.
With so many aspects of the business to consider, Lordstown Motors sought the help of an external consultancy to design its first product, and formed a strategic partnership with California-based Hydra Design Labs, a full-service automotive design firm founded by veteran automotive designer Jon Hull in 2010.
