Hydra is a complete automotive design and fabrication studio bringing over 30 years of industry experience to solve any OEM design challenge. Our in-house expertise and world-class facilities can take a vehicle concept from concept to production – through creative design, engineering, CAD, fabrication, prototyping and pre-production capabilities.

At Hydra Design Labs, we’re inspired to create tomorrow’s vehicles by overseeing the entire design and development process. Our experienced designers, engineers, and fabricators can provide design, CAD, Class-A Surfacing, engineering and modeling services for any project. With one team handling an entire project from ‘ideation to fabrication,’ we’re able to translate the specific design intent into a fully-realized vehicle – eliminating transactional losses while improving both quality and speed.

DESIGN, CAD, & ENGINEERING

What sets Hydra apart is our ability to oversee the entire design process of a project from ideation to execution. Our creative team will initiate a project in its earliest conceptual phases while our technical execution team provides design follow-up through full production programs. We specialize in Automotive Design, Modeling and Fabrication, Class-A Surfacing, CAE for Aerodynamic Optimization through CFD, CMF and Studio Engineering.

MODELING, FABRICATION & PROTOTYPING

We can bring creative designs to life with complete in-house modeling and fabrication capabilities. Our world-class production facilities feature three 4×6-meter surface plates, five axis CNC milling, hard modeling, composite and metal fabrication, painting and assembly. We also offer clay modeling services for full-size and scale models, plus prototype tooling capabilities.
